Gabe and I just got home from a weekend trip to Florida with my in-laws. It was literally a last minute decision for us to go. I was talking to my mother in law the night before on the phone and she mentioned going down to Florida for the weekend and invited us to go. Since Jesse was working, we decided that Gabe and I would just go and have some fun in the sun! We left Friday afternoon and left early this morning to head home. We had a great time! We went to the beach, the pier in Gulf Shores, and the Naval Aviation Museum. We stayed at Granny & Papaw's house and enjoyed some nice family time there as well. We swam in their pool, grilled out, and just relaxed! It was a nice mini vaca for us to get to spend some time with Jesse's side of the family! I must say, I think Gabe really enjoyed himself too. He ate all of that attention up- and I think he got a bit more spoiled too! Oh & he was also giving away all of Mommy's kisses! haha. Anyway, Gabe did great on the ride down and back. He only got mad a few times on the way there and back. However, on our way home we did get a flat tire! And boy, was it FLAT...actually, it was more like a shredded tire! Anyway, my mother in law, Kim, was driving the car with Gabe and I. We started to notice a weird noise so we pulled off on the exit that we were right next to. I opened the door and was greeted by smoke, the smell of burning rubber, and a very bad looking tire. My father in law, Gary, and cousin Brandon were in the car ahead of us... so they turned around and came back to change our tire! Within about 20 minutes we were back on the road again. We ended up stopping in Birmingham to get a new tire put on- and a few hours later we were on our way home- again! :) Overall, we had a great drive and a great trip.
