2 years, 24 weeks, and then some...

This past Tuesday Jesse and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary. Can you believe it!? 2 years & 2 babies. Whew! I'm exhausted just typing it! :)) Anyway, we went to Lottawatta Creek for our anniversary dinner. It was DELICIOUS... but needless to say, we came home with 4 boxes of food. You always get soooo much food there, but it's so good that you don't want to waste ANY of it! We came home, rented a couple of movies, ate some of our leftovers, and that was it. Exciting, I know!

Tuesday was also my 24 week mark! Time sure does fly. I can't believe we are over half way there already. And I can't believe how much smoother this pregnancy is going... (knock on wood). I found pictures of my pregnancy with Gabe... and my feet, oh my, do you remember how swollen my feet were? At just 20 weeks my feet looked like a Beluga whale with Gabe. I'm happy to say that this time around, I have no swelling whatsoever! WOOOO!!!! "Morning Sickness" is gone now and I'm feeling pretty good...except for the fact that my belly seemed to literally grow into a basketball overnight. I'm not just saying that either... it really did get quite big. Jesse and I both agreed that I almost look bigger now than I did at the end of my pregnancy with Gabe. However, with that being said, the Dr. says that this baby is already a pound (that was at the beginning of January)... so needless to say, this baby is going to be quite a bit bigger than Gabe... So it only makes sense that my belly would show it as well. OH well- the joys of pregnancy, right?

Speaking of my favorite litte boy... can you all believe that he is 19 months old!? He's going to be 2 years old in just 5 months! YES, 5 months!! Where did all of that time go? He's becoming more and more independent and saying sooo many more words. His favorite thing to say right now is "There ya go!" It's so cute.. he says it for EVERYTHING. Like when I give him a drink- instead of "Thank you" it's "There ya go." haha. Another favorite thing to say? "Go to Papa's" And yes, this usually means that he in fact wants to go to Papa's house. Last night he looked at me and said "Go to Papa's?" and then ran to the door to go outside. When I tell him that we have to get ready for him to go to Papa's he will run to his room and stand at his closet to get his clothes on. haha. It's so cute! As always, Gabriel Lee LOVES bathtime still! Oh & he also loves brushing his teeth. Seriously, I think we brush our teeth at least 2-3 times a day. He absolutely LOVES it!!

Mommy and Daddy were becoming quite tired of watching Mickey Mouse all day, everyday. So, Mommy decided to switch it up a bit! I broke out some of his Baby Einstein videos. I knew we had some that were for 12 months & up... so I thought we'd give those a try. Guess what!? He loves them!! Right now, he is standing in front of the tv watching a DVD... I believe it's the one about words around the house. He's been laughing a lot while watching it too. So Cute!

Well, my embroidery business is up and going... kind of. I still have to launch my facebook business page, but other than that it's going pretty good. I've stayed consistently busy with orders just from posting on facebook and by word of mouth. My goal is to have things up in the shop by mid-February. I know, I know- I wanted things up there by January but that just didn't happen. So, February is the new goal! Hopefully all will go well! :))

It's A...

It's a BOY!!!

Last Wednesday, the 2nd of January, we found out the gender of baby #2. I'll admit, I thought it was a girl...but Jesse, of course, just knew it was a boy all along! :)

We had the family that was able to make it over when we found out what the gender was... as well as our good friend, Amber and her husband, Josh. My mom and Amber were actually the first 2 people to know what we were having. My mom baked the cupcakes and filled the centers of 2 of them for Jesse and I to bite into. Amber got the silly string together for everyone to spray on us (the string was blue) when we found out as well. She also took all of the wonderful pictures for us that evening! :))

So, now it's on to planning the nursery theme and deciding on a baby name. If you all remember, Jesse and I could not agree on a name for Gabriel until we were in the hospital. We keep throwing names out there, but neither of us can agree on just one!  This shall be interesting!

Here's a few more pics from the evening we found out...

Christmas, New Years, & Baby!

Hey Friends & Family!

Whoa, I can't believe it's been so long since my last post. Time sure does fly! Most days I wake up and go to bed not knowing where the day has gone! Anyway, It's a new year! I wanted to do a little post on our Christmas and New Years!

Well, to get started... I have began selling burp cloths that I embroider! It's actually going pretty well and I love it! So, on the night before Christmas Eve I was up until about 4:00 a.m. finishing Christmas orders and a few things I wanted to make for Gabriel Lee! I was exhausted, but it all got done!

I had wrapped all of our presents the week of Christmas and put them under the tree. Gabe is still so young, that he didn't even notice that "Santa" came a bit early! haha. However, after going about 2 days without bothering the presents.. he did manage to find one of his toys that was wrapped and made noise. He ripped part of the paper off and began playing with it. Needless to say, Mommy took the toy and hid it until Christmas! Anyway, on Christmas Eve we headed over to my brother and sister in law's  house to exchange gifts with them and my parents. Jesse's older sister had her baby that night too- so when we were done exchanging gifts, we headed to the hospital to see the newest addition to the family! :) Gabe got lots of new toys that he has enjoyed playing with ever since!

We got home pretty late that night. We put Gabe in bed and then I got all of his gifts together and arranged for him to wake up to on Christmas morning. So, Christmas morning, our little man woke up around 8:00. We brought him into the living room to see all of his presents. He first noticed his MICKEY MOUSE Couch and the Mickey that was sitting on the couch. He instantly picked the little Mickey up and carried it with him.  He was pretty excited- BUT- not as excited as I thought he would be. After he opened one present (the present he had found a few days before) he was done opening! haha. So, Mommy and Daddy had to help open the rest. However, he has taken more interest in all of the toys since. I think he was just a bit overwhelmed by all of the new toys. Plus, as bad as this may sound, he is used to getting new toys all of the time... So I don't think Christmas Day was anything new for him. This year, we will do better! :)

Jesse was sick all day on Christmas, so he stayed home while Gabe and I headed to my parent's house to celebrate some more. The whole family was there... which is always fun! Gabe got even more presents from my other Brother and Sister in law and from Aunt Jill and Grandma Betty. Little man was wiped out by the end of the day- but he had a lot of fun. This Christmas was so much different than last Christmas since Gabe was older and could enjoy it a little more. I look forward to next year, since he will be another year older and will hopefully enjoy it even more. I can't wait!

We got A LOT of snow here. A LOT! I so badly wanted to take Gabe out in it but we decided to wait until he's a bit older. It was so pretty and Gabe loved looking out the window at it every day!

On New Years, Gabe went to Mama and Papa's for a while so Jesse and I could enjoy a nice dinner. It was delicious! :) We picked Gabe up and then came home and watched some tv and brought in the New Year. Real exciting in this house!! haha.

I'm not big on making New Year Resolutions... mainly because I never stick to them. However, we did set some goals that we would like to accomplish this year. Goals that we believe are attainable and will make a difference in our lives now and in the future! Some are small and will be easy to accomplish, while others will take some work. But all in all, our goals are to help us get to where we want to be! :)

Guess whatt!!! We are finding out if Gabe will have a little brother or sister tomorrow... or today I guess (since it's after midnight). I can't wait!! I'm so excited!!! I'll fill you all after we find out! :)

Well, that's about it for tonight. Here's a few pics of our Holidays! :) Night all!
