25 Years Old

Well Friends, today is my 25th Birthday! yes, 25 years old! That's like a quarter of a century- or 2.5 decades. Whew!

Anyway, today was a good day. Jesse and I went to lunch at Red Lobster, he bought me a new chain for my Origami Owl Necklace, and then we had cake and ice cream at my parent's house. Gabe gave me a big hug and kiss this morning and then Mommy had to watch Mickey Mouse with him. :)

Our morning was very eventful, however. We woke up to someone banging on our door at 7:30 a.m. Now, I'm not a morning person and it definitely doesn't make me happy when my boy is still sleeping and someone comes banging on our front door. It was a neighbor that lives a house down and across the street. She claimed that our "loud bass music" kept her up all night long and that she just didn't know how we were able to sleep with that loud music. Well, we were all sleeping last night and we were definitely not playing loud bass music that was going "boom boom boom." Well, she insisted that the music was coming from our house and I insisted that we were all sleeping and not playing music. I was fighting a losing battle. So finally, I said "Alright, I'm sorry." Boy OH Boy! Not even 10 minutes later, we heard loud banging noises and guess what! It was coming from that ladies house... she's having work done to her home and the workers begin every morning bright and early. Now, as much as Jesse and I wanted to go complain about the loud banging noise keeping us up, we didn't. :)

Anyway, I managed to get a couple more hours of sleep after being woke up. Then it was time for the bday celebration. Red Lobster was delicious, of course. I LOVE my new chain for my locket! AND my cake was delicious! Gabe even loved the cake too!

Tomorrow, I will be 36 weeks! ONLY 4 more weeks to go! WHOOOOO!!! Hopefully about 2 more weeks... I'd like to go around 38 weeks if possible, but we'll see. Our doc says that he'll induce me at 39 weeks if I want, but at that point I think we might as well just wait the extra week out! I can tell you one thing though... Baby S is running out of room in there and I think he's ready to come out! We go for a sonogram this week! My dr. appointments are weekly from now on. Maybe I'll get lucky and be dilated some! Doubtful...but a girl can dream, right? We still have several things left to do but we're almost ready. And boy, am I ready for this baby boy to be here!

Alright friends, that's all for tonight! Have a good one!

35 weeks

We're almost there!! 5 more weeks to go. OR 3 more weeks if Baby S decides to listen to Mommy's friendly request. According to my Pregnancy App, Baby S should be a little over 5 pounds and 18 inches long. But hey, who really knows this stuff anyway? What I do know is that he's definitely running out of room in there and he's definitely ready to meet his family! :)

How am I feeling these days? Tired! Tired! TIRED!! I'm exhausted all of the time. I've gone into the nesting mode as well. I'm trying my hardest to get things in order... and as you can imagine, it's been rough. Seems like I get a room clean and my little man is right behind me dragging everything out again! He's just so darn cute that I can't get mad at him... so the cleaning starts over. Again.

Gabe's bags will be in tomorrow for his Big Brother Kit for the hospital! I'm super excited to fill them with some of his favorite snacks, a big bro shirt, some new cars, and various other goodies! I want him to have things to do while he's at the hospital with my parents waiting for the arrival of his baby brother!

So, here's a list of my goals to accomplish within the next few weeks:

1) Move part of the couch out and put swing it it's place.
2) Bring in crib and set up the bedding.
3) Organize Baby clothes downstairs.
4) Bring changing table downstairs.
5) Get all my laundry done.
6) Organize sewing room to be more functional.
7) Clean car seat and install in car.
8) Pack hospital bags for myself, Baby, Jesse, and Gabe.
9) Make a list of people we want to contact when Baby arrives.
10) Get house totally clean

That's my short list of things to get done. Hopefully my energy level will kick up a bit and I can accomplish these things. Looks like Jesse is going to have some fun on his days off as well! :) haha.

Anyway friends, that's about it! Have a good night!
