Hey Friends!
We've been battling sickness in this house since Christmas. I took the boys urgent care last Thursday night since nothing was making them better. Thank God I did. They both had RSV and Lincoln had an ear infection! Thankfully, they're both getting better and acting like themselves. They still have a runny nose and cough, but their appetite is back up and they're playing like crazy.
So, I've made the decision to go back to Grad School! EEEKK!! I'm in the process of completing the application and getting all of my transcripts and recommendation letters in order. I'll keep you posted. I'm excited to go back but I'm going to miss being at home with my babies! But, this will be good. My boys need to know that anything is possible and that there's nothing they can't do. Hopefully Jesse and I are setting that example for them.
SO, I've came up with several projects to do this year. I've been stalking Pinterest and coming up with decorating ideas for our house. I still haven't gotten all this house looking the way I want it to. You'd think that I would have done that when we moved in... but I was pregnant and tired and just didn't have the time. But now, I'm making it a mission to get this house the way I want it. It's going to take some time and I'm going to do room by room. That way I don't get overwhelmed and our bank account doesn't suffer too much in the process. I have all these ideas and I can't wait to make them come to life!
My next project is making photo books with all of the pictures that are stored on our computer. My plan is to do one for each of the boys' first year of life. I've already started on Gabe's and am almost done with it. Obviously, Lincoln isn't a year old yet, so we won't be ordering his any time soon. haha. I plan on making Gabe another book with pictures from his 1st birthday and up. It's taking me some time to get all of our pictures uploaded. I used Snapfish since most of my pics were already uploaded to it. My laptop is still Out of Order- so I'm going to have to wait until it gets fixed to completely finish the books. There are a lot of pictures on my computer that I need to upload still. I still have to order the book I made from our wedding. Man, it'll be 3 years this month and I still haven't ordered it. Fail. haha.
Another project is converting this blog into a book to print for us to keep. As I've always said, I intend for this blog to primarily be for my kids- to be like a baby book for them. I want them to have their life and memories documented forever. So, I've started the process of converting the first year of this blog to a book. I still have A LOT of editing to do- to make sure all of the pictures look right and are in the right post. I plan on doing a year or so at a time for each made. I started this blog in April 2011. The first book will be April 2011-December 2012. The next will be Jan 2013-December 2013... and so on. As you can probably imagine, this isn't cheap to do. So, getting one at a time will be the best bet. haha.
Well, it's about time for me to head to bed. My 2 little boys like to get up extra early!

Tis The Season!
I've been working very hard the past few days on getting some items ready to take to the studio to start selling. It's hard to get things done with Gabe home. My little man has a fascination with the needle on the embroidery machine... which ultimately means that he likes to try to stick his little fingers in it all of the time. Luckily, I've set up my machine in the kitchen for now- Once we get all of our Christmas decor up and everything moved to the basement I will be moving it into our porch/sunroom area! Anyway, as I was saying... it's much easier to work when Gabe is not home. So, yesterday Gabe got to spend some quality time with Mama and I got to work ALL. DAY. LONG! I'm pretty proud of my creations so far... I'm getting better everyday! Here's some pics of what I worked on yesterday and last week! I also made Emeri a birthday shirt (which I forgot to take a picture of!) I'm a little upset since it turned out sooo cute! :)

BATMOBILE
Hello Dear Friends!
So much has happened since I've last updated! So we'll start from the beginning!
Two weeks ago my little boy took started standing on his own and took his first step! YAY! We are so, so proud of him! We clap for him everytime he does it- so now when he does it, He claps too! It's so cute!
What else has my little man discovered? Well, he found the toilet. Yes, that was fun! I was in the bathroom with him getting ready and I look over and he has his hands in the toilet. Needless to say, we went straight to bath time! haha. He's been walking with his toys EVERYWHERE. He's figured out how doors open and close. Hence the reason- all of our doors remain closed now. He found the cabinets in the kitchen and figured out that he can literally take everything out of them. haha. That's always fun too! So now we have a gates up to keep our little man in the living room. OH & we also have a small toy store in our home as well. I'm afraid to say that my child is SPOILED! Seriously, too many toys...but that's ok because he LOVES it!
Oh & some BIG news... Gabe now has his very own BATMOBILE! Yes, that's right... a BATMOBILE! I found the idea on Pinterest and made it a mission to make him one. I got lucky when a lady offered me the car for free- so with a little spray paint and hardwork I finished it in one day! It's SO SO SO cute!
You all know about those Facebook pages where you can post and buy items for sell? Well, here lately I've been doing a lot of shopping on those sites! I love it! Especially for things for Gabe. I mean, let's face it- kids don't wear their clothes for that long- so getting them cheaper is always a good thing. I've had really good luck with finding things for Gabe on these pages- All of the clothes and toys that I've found have all been in great condition. Well, besides the car for the batmobile- but let's face it, it cleaned up nicely...and it was free. I've found several toys for Gabe that are like new- that brand new would retail for about $40+ dollars- that I've gotten for less than $10. Seriously!? How much better does that get!? Anyway, my point is- I love these sites- and have recently become slightly addicted to shopping for my little man on them. Haha.
Well Friends, that's about it for tonight. Here's some pictures... ENJOY! :)

can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars....
It's Thursday!! and that means it's craft day!! So, Jesse and I got out the paint and brushes and started on a project for Baby Schiff's room. This is his first original painted project that we'll be making him from now until he's here...the first official project was the star thing that Jesse did last week! So....what did we paint!? A rocket ship!! It's not completely done...as you will be able to tell in the pics below. We had to let the paint dry... we still have quite a bit to add in the next few days until it's completely finished! But, once it's done... it'll be super cute!!
While we were painting tonight we talked about baby names. Some of you may know that if Baby Schiff was a girl we had already decided on a name. But shoot, this boy name has been quite difficult for us. We had one name picked out that we both agreed on, however, Jesse has changed his mind. So we threw a few more out there tonight. I'm not going to reveal what we decided on...because who knows... we'll probably change our minds again. I will say that the initials on the names that we're tossing around are R.L.S., C.L.S., J.L.S., and S.L.S. The middle name is obviously going to be Lee...since that is both Jesse and I's middle name. :) So friends, soon you shall know the name of our baby boy....or we might just keep it a secret until he's here. haven't decided yet!
I also decided on a big craft project for the baby's room. It's going to take a lot of time and effort, but I'm positive it will be worth it when i'm finished. I'm going to make alphabet stencils for a "learning wall" in the baby's room. It's going to be square blocks with each letter of the alphabet. I'm super excited to get started on this. Also, i'm going to make a growth chart for baby as well. Again, this is going to take some time. I'm thinking about cutting the wood myself....or should I say...seeing if Dad will help cut the wood :) Once I start these projects, I'll be sure to keep pictures of how they are coming along. Hopefully, both will turn out the way i'm picturing! fingers crossed!!
Well, that's about it for tonight. It's late and i have a pointless meeting early in the a.m. for work....and seeing that EVERYWHERE is flooded right now, I have to leave extra early to make it there on time. My feet are also very swollen tonight and I don't know why...so I think it's time for bed and time to elevate the feet! Night all!
the beginning....
the end of the project for tonight.... (not completely finished yet though!)
I love Carrie Underwood...and this song. Watch it! :)

oh no...she has a paintbrush!
well, it's not thursday...but how about a crafty Saturday night!? Jesse even got a little crafty himself tonight! We had a lot of fun.
Jesse decided to put together the star globe thing for the baby's room. despite his frustration with having to punch a bunch of little holes in it, he was very pleased with the way it turned out. I must say...I kinda like it too! Our baby boy is going to have so much to look at! Now, what this does is it projects stars and the different constellations on to the ceiling. Jess turned all the lights out in the house tonight and we tried it out! Definitely a good investment! :)
Now, I got my paint and brushes out and starting working on a picture frame for Rylee. Now, just imagine for a moment....being 95% done and the only thing left to do is put her name on it and then...yes, you guessed it. I spelled her name wrong! I forgot the "L"....yes, leave it to me to mess my puppy's name up! Jesse of course made fun of me...asking if this was an indication of what will happen when our baby gets here...like will i forget how to spell his name!? Obviously, I didn't find this too funny! But... no worries... i managed to fix it.. and it looks just fine! :)
On another baby note... I got TONS of clothes last night. 3 bags full in fact! And yes, I made Jesse look at every single thing when I got home with it all! Now all we have to do is figure out where to put it all until the baby room is done. I got tons of clothes from 0 -12 months! So, the plan is to organize all of the clothes into months and then store them accordingly! This shall be a day long project.
oh & i just remembered....remember my little rant about not letting jesse buy the toilet paper anymore! and also remember how we said he'd be sorry once he had to use it...and how he disagreed! well...guess who changed his mind about the toilet paper. Yes, he did admit tonight that the toilet paper is not very good at all! Guess who was right!? hahaha.
Which brings me to a final note... we have a black futon for sale!! someone needs to buy it!! I need money...ok, that's a lie.. I want money! haha. and we need the extra room. so, if anyone knows anyone that would like a futon...tell them to buy mine...$100 or best offer! We've barely used it and right now, it's acting as a baby/craft storage spot. It definitely needs to GO!
