Cardinals Win World Series...

If you're a Cardinal fan, then you probably spent most of the past week or so glued to your tv at night watching the 7 games. It doesn't get more exciting than Thursday night's game when the Cardinals came back from being behind by 2...TWICE! It was an intense, but exciting game. So exciting....that Gabe passed out after the 9th inning! They win... and it's off to game 7! So, yesterday, I got Gabe all dressed up for his favorite baseball team... to cheer them on to win their 11th World Series! He was decked out...from cardinals shirt, pants, jacket, and even a baseball cap! He was adorable...if I don't say so myself! :)

Yesterday, I also took my niece to wal-mart to do some halloween "trick-or-treating" shopping. We like to give her toys rather than candy for halloween...so I thought, "what would be more fun than her getting to pick out exactly what she wants!?" So, off to wal-mart we go. Singing songs like "Twinkle, twinkle, little star" and "Itsy, Bitsy, Spider" all the way there. She's 4. She's hilarious, smart, and the most adorable little girl ever. We had a lot fun. We were on the hunt for a new Barbie. So we headed straight to the toy section. And what did we find!? Lots and Lots of Barbies and Disney Princess dolls!! Her favorite right now is Rapunzel...so instead of a doll she picked out a $25 dollar Rapunzel Castle complete with a doll as well. I managed to convince her to settle for a $17 dollar Rapunzel toy that came with the prince and a boat to play with!

Now, before we left I told her that the toy she picked out was for Halloween and she could have and play with it on Sunday when she came trick-or-treating. That agreement was out the door after we picked out the toy! :) When we got back home, we agreed that she could play with Rapunzel only and then we had to put her back up until Sunday. We came to this agreement after she got really sad for awhile and was going out to ask papa if he would open it...since he didn't know our agreement! I told ya she was smart! haha. Anyway, we also went through the car wash. You know how some car washes have the multi-colored soap...well this one didn't. She told me... "Silly Ami, you went through the wrong one...this one didn't have colors!" haha. I love that girl! :)

Now, let me give you all a little update on my baby boy. He's getting so big. He's about 10 pounds now. Pretty much out of newborn clothes... and he's sleeping for 5 1/2 - 6 hours in a row at night! Whoa!! I can't believe it either! I'm so proud of him. This means more sleep for mommy and it means that we are one step closer to sleeping through the night!!

One last story... I ordered new contacts this past week and did 2-3 day shipping so I would have them sooner. I only had the trials the Dr. gives you when you have the exam and both contacts were ripped. I had to resort to glasses...which lucky me, haven't had a new prescription in probably 5 years. So yes, I'm stuck with old glasses with and old prescription, that gives me a headache wearing them for a long time. I'm also pretty positive that I'm more than likely legally blind wearing them...although, I still see better than I do without them! hah. Anyway, I got online to track my order and it said that they arrived this morning at 7:30 a.m. So, I check outside by the door, in the mailbox, everywhere...and guess what!? They are NOWHERE to be found. So, i decide to drive to the post office and yep, you guessed it...They were closed. Because it was 11:00 a.m. and they closed at 10:00 a.m. I was SOOOOO angry! Makes me hate this stupid town even more!!

So, next weekend is the marine corps ball. I have a dress that fits and Jesse likes. I'm going to do some shopping the day before with a friend...we plan on going to DSW, Nordstrom Rack, the Galleria, and wherever else! I'm super excited. #1 goal = New Over-the-Knee boots! Yay!!

Alright, that's about it for now folks. Hope you all have a good weekend. I'm going to try to start updating more like I had before.
